The English translation here in key places of the book actually ALTERS the plot|About the Author|Wilhelm Busch (1832-1908), born near Hannover in Germany, was a writer and illustrator of humorous picture stories with rhyming texts. These were forerunners of the modern comic strip. His Max und Moritz of 1865 was an immediate success,
